Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith, it’s an element of it. Tapping Included

“Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith; it is an element of faith.”Paul Tillich

I love this quote. It speaks of doubt in a new way.

Doubt gets such a bad rap.

It certainly does in my brain.

What if, by accepting your doubt, by allowing it, you actually soften its hold on you and by doing so you begin to release it?

What if you can learn to make doubt okay?

WHAT!!!!?!!! you might be thinking, hang with me for a moment.

Paul Tillich says it beautifully in his quote on doubt.

He certainly makes doubt a part of the process of coming to faith. So instead of this epic self-judgment about your doubt, what about considering that it’s really okay to doubt and even allow doubt?

If what you resist persists, then wouldn’t it stand to reason that practicing non-resistance with doubt, you might actually feel better about it. It’s worth a try, right?

Here’s a tapping video I created to assist you in allowing doubt to knock on your door. When you hear the knock, through your awareness, you open the door to doubt and let it in.

As one of my meditation teachers says, “Welcome to the party.”
(The one in your head.)

Here’s to you!
