Are We Having Fun Yet?

Do you find yourself caught in the grind of life?

Does your life sometimes feel like a series of tasks that have you moving from one thing to the next?

If you find yourself in this energy…. missing out on the fun and joy of living, I highly recommend you consider injecting some fun and joy into each day.

If you hear yourself saying, “When the hell am I going to fit fun in?”

That’s a sure sign you need to do just that….Fit Fun In.

Start simple!

Watch something funny on You Tube. Call a friend and catch up and just enjoy the conversation with someone who means something to you.

When you’re out and about, find something to genuinely compliment a complete stranger about and watch them smile. It’s infectious.

Look for the things that are pleasing to you in day to day life.

Rent a funny movie.

Go to a park and swing on a swing set or slide down a slide.

If you really want to do more of this, find out if there’s a comedy club in your town and book a night to go.

My girlfriend and I were at a Mastermind together and we decided we wanted to just have fun. Originally we talked about finding Karaoke and doing that.

She’s a great singer. I am not. But I have always wanted to do this and I’m willing to embarrass myself in the spirit of fun.

We couldn’t find one during the nights we were together so we opted for the comedy night and we ended up laughing hysterically together. The thing that got us going, was one of the comedians said, “Remember the time before Netflix, when you actually had goals for your life?” That’s all it took. We laughed the rest of the night.

Some of the comedians were great and some not so much but I had to give them all credit for being willing to get up on stage and put themselves out there. I got something from each of them.

One young man didn’t have the best material, but boy did he have presence and it was amazing to notice the presence he had. That alone captivated the audience. There was something truly enjoyable about each and every comedian that got up there and the bonus was…. we left laughing and feeling joyful.

Try doing something every day that can makes you laugh or smile and reignite the joy of living within. I think you’ll find you start to feel better.

It’s easy to take the business of transformation and change all so seriously, but I think finding joy is one of the quickest ways to elevate your mood and remind you to have fun along the way.

Here’s To Fitting Fun In Everyday!!!

P.S. My husband and I are going to book a Karaoke night with friends.
