Here’s a tapping script to use when you feel frustrated or angry with someone.
Karate Chop:
Even though I feel really frustrated with____________, I deeply and completely love and accept myself and all of my feelings about them.
Even though I feel so frustrated with____________, I want to free myself from this frustration and I’m open to seeing this differently.
Even though I feel angry and frustrated with____________, I want to feel calm and peaceful for me and I chose to be open to finding this, even if that doesn’t seem possible right now.
Eyebrow: I feel so frustrated with____________.
Side of the Eye: I want to scream I feel so frustrated.
Under the Eye: I feel this frustration in my body.
Under the Nose: And I know its really hurting me.
Chin Point: I can’t see how to let this go yet.
Collarbone: I’m way too frustrated right now.
Under the Arm: And I have a right to be frustrated.
Top of the Head: So I’m going to let myself feel this frustration right now.
Eyebrow: I’ve been told so many times I shouldn’t feel the way I feel.
Side of the Eye: But this time, I’m going to really indulge these feelings while I tap.
Under the Eye: It’s high time I honored my feelings.
Under the Nose: What if, by allowing myself to really feel these feelings, I’m better able to release them.
Chin Point: What if, in doing so, I can really free myself from these frustrated feelings.
Collarbone: What if, this is what feelings are meant to do, just move through me by allowing them.
Under the Arm: This is different thinking for me.
Top of the Head: What if, by allowing myself to fully feel my feelings on my own, I’ll be able to let them go and really free myself and not hurt anyone in the process.
Take a Deep Breath
Karate Chop:
Even though, I have some resistance to really letting myself feel this angry and frustration towards____________, I deeply and completely love and accept myself and all of my resistance about this.
Even though, there’s a part of me that feels it’s wrong to feel so frustrated, I deeply and completely accept myself and all of my feelings about this.
Even though I feel I shouldn’t indulge these feelings because someone could get hurt by them, I deeply and completely accept myself and any resistance that’s coming up about this.
Eyebrow: I do feel frustrated at _____________.
Side of the Eye: That’s my truth right now.
Under the Eye: It doesn’t mean I’ll stay feeling this way forever.
Under the Nose: What if I’m actually starting to release this anger and frustration now.
Chin Point: What if by allowing myself to feel these feeling strongly on my own, I really am in the process of releasing them.
Collarbone: What if I can feel frustrated and angry and know that I’m going to feel better soon.
Under the Arm: All of this frustration.
Top of the Head: I have a right to feel this way.
Eyebrow: So much frustration.
Side of the Eye: I feel so frustrated.
Under the Eye: It does feel good to acknowledge this.
Under the Nose: I’m giving my anger and frustration a voice.
Chin Point: It’s about time I did.
Collarbone: This anger and frustration has a grip on me.
Under the Arm: But I do want to feel it and then let it go and move on for me.
Top of the Head: I think I might be feel a little better already.
Eyebrow: All of this anger and frustration.
Side of the Eye: It’s moving through me.
Under the Eye: I feel its grip starting to release a little more.
Under the Nose: This anger and frustration at______________.
Chin Point: I’m allowing it.
Collarbone: I’m really feeling it
Under the Arm: And somehow it’s starting to release.
Top of the Head: I’m starting to feel a bit better.
Eyebrow: I can still be angry and frustrated.
Side of the Eye: But not let it consume me so much.
Under the Eye: I feel it releasing it’s grip.
Under the Nose: I’m picturing them and I’m feeling my anger and frustration release.
Chin Point: What if now that it’s releasing, I’ll be able to speak my truth to them in a really empowered way.
Collarbone: What if by releasing my anger and frustration I can speak my truth calmly and clearly and feel better about everything.
Under the Arm: What if by allowing myself to have my feelings, whatever they are. I will be better able to set healthy boundaries with this person and create a win-win.
Top of the Head: I like this idea…setting healthy boundaries from a calm and clear place.
Eyebrow: It feels good to allow myself my feelings.
Side of Eye: It feels good to get calm and clear.
Under the Eye: It’s good for me and ultimately good for_________to have good boundaries.
Under the Nose: Wow, there are good things that can come out of me allow myself my feelings.
Chin Point: I see that I’m seeing this differently.
Collarbone: Which is something I wanted from this.
Under the Arm: I feel so much better.
Top of the Head: I love that good things can come from feeling my feelings in a healthier way.
