WTF Tapping

WTF Tapping. What does this even mean?

Have you ever felt really angry at someone yet felt like you shouldn’t feel this way?

Have you told yourself to “take the high road” but you’re not really ready to yet?

When you try to go to forgiveness too quickly, you end up stuffing feelings that end up frozen in your energy system. An indicator that this is happening is if you’ve ever noticed yourself having an “overreaction” in a given situation.

In other words, your response to a particular situation seems to be “over the top.” You end up feeling bad because you “overreacted.”

So what can you do?

This is where WTF Tapping comes into play.

Think about someone you’re angry at?

Put being “appropriate” on the shelf for now. You can go back to being appropriate when we’re done.

Now ask yourself this question.

If I could say anything to this person, what would I say?

I encourage you to go to the worst, ugliest, meanest thing you’d REALLY like to say to them. When I ask clients this, it’s amazing to me how often they say, I’d tell them Fuck You, in some form.

Now this might feel really harsh or inappropriate, but really check in with yourself. There’s something about these words that seems to sum up what most of us end up feeling, or really wanting to say to someone, whose really hurt us.

I’ve always found this interesting. Instead of looking at these words as vulgar, or bad….they seem to carry the weight of a lot of suppressed anger and hurt.

I highly recommend you use them while tapping, but the caveat is you need to tap. I’m a huge proponent of Rant Tapping and I actually call this Fuck You Tapping.

I have yet to work with someone who has come up with these words on their own, who hasn’t expressed feeling really liberated and actually free of the anger they were feeling towards someone or at least a lot less angry.

The beauty of this technique is that you release toxic emotion from your energy system, which can improve your health and well-being.

Another benefit is that you begin to unhook from the person you’ve been angry with and you’re much better able to deal with them from a health place.

I call that a win-win.

Try it and see how it feels. You can tap along with my video as well. Please note, there are f-bombs in this video and always take responsibility for yourself when tapping.

Here’s what some clients have to say about it.

“Some people might think that rant tapping is the same thing as having a bitch session with your best guy or girl friend, but I found it to be much more than that. First of all, there’s the tapping part. I don’t know about you but I’ve never been tapping on meridian points while drinking my latte at the local Starbucks, (one of my favorite places to conduct a bitch session).

Tapping on certain points in the body while we are in our agitated, anxious, sad, angry, etc. place helps to calm things down in the body and in our mind. From this more balanced place we can see things from a new perspective, maybe even see another issue behind what we thought was the real issue, or help us make a more informed decision. Marti told me more than once, “You can’t make a good decision when you’re in a bad place”. And that is so true! Another thing that happened with me in doing rant sessions with Marti is that I spoke truths that had never before been consciously recognized and definitely never spoken of. I begin to hear and honor ME!

Sometimes these truths would just spill out during my ranting and sometimes I know it was the expert guidance and intuition of Marti that allowed me to arrive at my truth, or what needed to be looked at. One think I fault many therapist on is that they dig up our past and then kind of leave us there sulking in a bitter heap. This is not what happens with rant tapping. We aren’t just digging up our stuff so we can be the victim, or make everyone else wrong. We bring it up, look it squarely in the face, and then with Marti’s guidance we can begin the process of letting it go so that we can make room for, and invite in, more of the positive things we do want in our life.

This is why often times a tapping session ends with affirmative tapping, tapping in what we want to have or create in our lives. Our mind would maybe not have accepted this positive possibility prior to the rant tapping. But the process opens us up, creates new awareness in us (new truths), and also begins the building of new neuro pathways in the brain. These new neuro pathways are not the congested, deep, muddy ruts that keep us tormented and stuck; but they are the smooth, newly-paved, less congested freeways that take us where we want to go with much greater ease and MUCH greater joy. My experience with this process was that while there were times where I was drained after a rant session, I also felt cleansed, at peace, and very hopeful. Who doesn’t want more of that!”Jaryn – Florida

“Rant tapping is a powerful and effective EFT technique. During her sessions Marti uses this technique in such a masterful way that it yields great results.

It allows you to access and heal certain parts of yourself and your past in a gracious and empowering way.

It’s been a joyful process, in which I was able to liberate my body in a gentle way from trauma,

which helped me tremendously in healing from a life-threatening disease.

Marti is an extraordinary and extremely gifted coach. Doing this work with her will be a life-changing experience!”Roos van der Blom, Amsterdam – The Netherlands

“I felt a huge energy release while doing rant tapping with Marti on negative experiences from my past that were holding me back in life.

Afterwards I felt more balanced and not much resentment anymore towards the ones that hurt me in the past. It improved my sense of wellbeing.”Steve from New York
